Chinese "Drum × Dance" Chinese Drumming in Practice Project Joint-school Finale Performance

This academic year, our school was selected to join the “Taking Centre Stage: School Performing Arts in Practice Scheme” organised by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, under the "Chinese Drum × Dance" Chinese Drumming in Practice Project. Under the guidance from Refiner Drums, the members of our school’s Chinese Drum Music Class delivered a joint school graduation performance at the Auditorium of the Ko Shan Theatre on 12th July. Our students performed the Jiangzhou Drum Music piece “The World’s Delight”. With rhythmic and powerful drumming, the performance vividly portrayed the joyful and lively atmosphere of harvest celebrations in southern Shanxi, China. The alternating and resonating drumbeats created an exciting show for the audience.
