Congratulations to our students for their outstanding performance in the following competitions:

"Huaxia Cup" National Mathematical Olympiad Invitational Competition 2025:

Finals: 4 second prizes and 5 third prizes.

Qualifying Round: 2 first prizes, 5 second prizes and 8 third prizes.

Preliminary Round: 7 first prizes, 7 second prizes and 17 third prizes.

Asia International Mathematical Olympiad Open Contest Qualifying Round 2025:

4 silver medals and 6 bronze medals.

Hong Kong and Macau Mathematical Olympiad Open Contest 2025:

2 gold medals, 7 silver medals and 14 bronze medals.

2025-07-16The 32nd Hong Kong Primary School Mathematical Olympiad

The 32nd Hong Kong Primary School Mathematical Olympiad was held on 23rd February, 2025.

Congratulations to P.2 YEUNG JAYDEN YAU SUN and P.6 WANG HAOYUYUAN for winning the Gold Award in the competition; P.4 TANG TSZ KI and ZHANG MATTHEW for winning the Silver Award; P.4 ZHANG YICHI and P.6 OUYANG HIU PAK for winning the Bronze Award.

2025-07-15MKC Talent Show

Our annual MKC Talent Show was staged on 14 July due to the adverse weather condition. The show was successfully held, with 14 performances, including choirs, dances, martial arts, rope skipping, Chinese and English dramas, percussion music, string music, wind music and orchestral music. There were as many as 380 student performers, each of whom was confident and enjoyed performing on stage. The audience of teachers and students were enthralled by the sparkling performances.

We appreciate the students' continuous effort and pursuit of excellence. We also thank the teachers, conductors and coaches for their training, as well as the support of the parents!

2025-07-142024-2025 "Chinese Diplomats" Short Film Competition
In the "Chinese Diplomats" short film competition, a total of nine teams were selected by the judges to enter the final. Our team of P.5 students were successfully shortlisted. The final and award ceremony were held at the Chinese University of Hong Kong on 12th July. In the end, our team won the Outstanding Work Award. Congratulations to LO HIU YAN, SIN LING, SO HO TING, YOUNG KENNETH and CHEUNG YIU SHING.
2025-07-14North District Outstanding Student Election 2024-2025

Congratulations to P. 3 CHAN KWAN HANG for winning first runner-up in the lower primary category and P.6 LAW ON YAU for winning the Merit Award in the upper primary category!

2025-07-10Shanghai orchestra exchange trip

Our school orchestra visited Shanghai with the principal, music teachers and conductors for a 4-day music exchange from 30 June to 3 July 2025.

The students visited the Shanghai United International School Shangyin Campus on the first and second day.  They attended a music workshop and practised hard in their rehearsal, and staged a joint-school orchestra performance in the afternoon on the second day. The performance was highly applauded by the audience of teachers and parents.

On the third day, the group visited the Shanghai Conservatory of Music and the Jaguar Shanghai Symphony Hall. The Shanghai Conservatory of Music is the earliest established music college in China. The Jaguar Shanghai Symphony Hall is the first world-class concert hall in Asia designed specifically for symphony orchestras. In the concert hall the students attended the sharing session of the principal bassoon and cello musicians, learning a lot about how they have developed their skills and passion for music and their music career. They even had the valuable opportunity to enjoy the public rehearsal of the New York Philharmonic Orchestra.

This unforgettable orchestra exchange trip promoted exchanges between the young music lovers from Shanghai and Hong Kong. Also it enhanced the music playing skills of our students and broadened their horizons. It was a fruitful experience!

2025-07-08P.6 Release of Secondary One Places Allocation Results

The P.6 students received their secondary school admission results on 8th July. This year, as many as 60 students from our school have been admitted to the EMI (English as a Medium of Instruction) secondary schools, and the satisfaction rate of the first three choices was very high at 98.6%! Congratulations to all the students entering their dream secondary schools. May your secondary school life be amazing and rewarding!

2025-07-02Story to Stage Puppetry Competition for Primary Schools 2024/25

Congratulations to our puppetry team for winning 3rd place in the 2025 Story to Stage Puppetry Competition. We were invited to the award ceremony attended by 25 schools, where the students received a trophy and were able to watch live puppet shows from the winning schools. It was wonderful to see our students’ hard work rewarded.

2025-06-30P.6 I+ Curriculum – Environmentally-friendly Board Game Carnival

In the recent I+ Programme the P.6 students learnt about the global climate crisis. In groups of 4-5, applying the knowledge and skills they have learnt, they designed more than thirty unique board games altogether.

During the two carnivals, they played games designed by their schoolmates and themselves. Not only did they promote the importance of protecting the Earth, they also enjoyed great fun playing with their friends.

2025-06-27ICAS Assessments - Mathematics

On 3rd March, 2025, some of our students participated in the ICAS Assessments – Mathematics. Among them, 2 students received the "High Distinction Certificate", 21 students received the "Distinction Certificate", 37 students received the "Credit Certificate", and 13 students received the "Merit Certificate". Congratulations to the award-winning students. The total scores of our school's P.3-6 students are higher than the average scores of all students in Hong Kong. Congratulations to the students who participated in this assessment.

2025-06-23MathConceptition 2025

" MathConceptition 2025" was held on 16th March, 2025.

Congratulations to P2 LEUNG CHUN HEI for winning the "Gold Award" in the competition; P4 MAK SIU HIN for winning the "Silver Award"; P3 MAN CHEUK KIU, P4 TAI SZE HANG, P5 WONG CHUN KIT and P6 GULEN HASAN for winning the "Bronze Award".

The team of P4 LIN CHI HEI, TAI SZE HANG and MAK SIU HIN also won the Group Merit.

2025-06-02Fun for Reading_P.6 Booth games and P.5 Cat walk

In our Fun for Reading lessons, the P.6 students created and tried out their own booth games with the theme ‘World Panorama’ on 30th April while the P.5 students dressed up as classic literature characters for the catwalk on 14th May. All of the P.5 and P.6 students had a great time!

2025-06-02TOEFL Junior Test Winners

Congratulations to the following students for their excellent results in TOEFL Junior Test! They got 3 Gold, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze awards in Speaking Test, 1 Gold, 4 Silver and 2 Bronze awards in Writing Test, and 1 Gold, 2 Silver and 3 Bronze awards in Standard Test. In this internationally recognized test, their English standard is equivalent to Grade 7-9 in the US/UK education system.

2025-06-01TWGHs Joint Primary Schools Swimming Gala

A total of 28 students from our school swimming team participated in the TWGHs Joint Primary Schools Swimming Gala on 14th May, and received excellent results in many events.

In the individual competitions, our students won 3 champions, 4 first runner-ups and 7 second runner-ups. In the relay races, we won 1 champion and 1 second runner-up. The girls’ B team also won the overall champion.

All of our students showed their great effort and teamwork spirit. We thank the parents and students who attended the event for their support, Principal Lam for her encouragement, and all the teachers and staff for their assistance.

2025-06-01North District Inter-Primary Schools Swimming Competition

Our school swimming team participated in the " North District Inter-Primary Schools Swimming Competition" in May. The students did well in the competition and won many awards: 3 champions, three 1st runner-ups, two 2nd runner-ups, one 3rd runner-up and 5 merit awards in individual events; three 1st runner-ups, two 2nd runner-ups, two 3rd runner-ups and 2 merit awards in team events, including a 2nd runner-up in the boys’ B team and a 1st runner-up in the girls’ C team!

This is the result of the students' long-term training, showing their perseverance and team spirit. We appreciate the students' efforts, and thank the parents for their support and the teachers and coaches for their guidance. We look forward to achieving great results in future competitions!

2025-06-01Dragon Boat Festival Cultural Exchange Activity with our Sister School in Yinchuan

Our school and Yinchuan Xingqing District Experimental No. 3 Primary School became sister schools in February this year.

On 29th May, the two schools took the Dragon Boat Festival as an opportunity for students to share the Dragon Boat Festival customs online. We made traditional handicrafts and rice dumplings together, enhancing the understanding of the diversity of Chinese traditional cultures, and also promoting friendships.

2025-05-27"Reciting Classics, Painting, and Becoming an Excellent Chinese Youth" Competitions

In April, some of our students participated in the "Reciting Classics, Painting, and Becoming an Excellent Chinese Youth" Competitions held by our sister school. A total of 112 schools from Hong Kong, Macau and Henan Province joined the competitions, submitting a total of 684 recitation works and 2,230 paintings. In the end, our school won 2 first prizes, 3 second prizes, 2 third prizes and 1 award of excellence in the recitation competition. In the painting competition, we won 2 first prizes, 2 second prizes and 5 awards of excellence.

2025-05-27“Love Our Home, Treasure Our Country” Joint Schools Wushu Competition

Our school's wushu team participated in the “Love Our Home, Treasure Our Country” Joint Schools Wushu Competition on 24th May. We won 5th place in the team category and we were also honored first prize among 17 primary schools. We appreciate the team members' efforts, hard work and teamwork, and hope that everyone will continue to work hard and make persistent efforts to achieve even better results.

2025-04-15MKC Sports Day

MKC Sports Day was successfully held on 21st March. We were thankful for the beautiful weather. All our students and teachers were excited about the day. Our students actively participated in the various competitions, showing their athletic talents and team spirits. After all the events were completed many new record-breaking results had been set. Students, teachers and parents all enjoyed the fun of competing in sports.

2025-04-07P.3 and P.4 Reading for Fun_Cat Walk

The P.3 and P.4 students had their Catwalk activities on 19th March and 26th March respectively. Their themes were “Superheroes” and “Pop Culture”. The students dressed up as Spiderman, Superman, Pikachu, Moana Lisa, Harry Potter… Everyone dressed up nicely and had a great time together!

2025-04-03School Picnic

The school picnic was successfully held on 28th March. Although it drizzled on that day, it did not dampen the enthusiasm of our students and teachers. In the cool spring breeze, our students and teachers all had a wonderful time.

Congratulations to our students for winning 6 Excellence Awards and 3 Merit Awards in the 18th Hong Kong Primary School Mathematics Competition (North District).

2025-02-06The 77th Hong Kong Schools Music Festival

Our students received good results in the 77th Hong Kong Schools Music Festival.

In the group classes, our Percussion Band and Junior Choir were awarded First Runner-up and Second Runner-up respectively while our Senior Choir won Silver Award.

In the vocal and instrumental solo classes, our students won 4 Gold Awards, 37 Silver Awards and 51 Bronze Awards.
