Congratulations to the following students for their excellent results in TOEFL Junior Test! They got 3 Gold, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze awards in Speaking Test, 1 Gold, 4 Silver and 2 Bronze awards in Writing Test, and 1 Gold, 2 Silver and 3 Bronze awards in Standard Test. In this internationally recognized test, their English standard is equivalent to Grade 7-9 in the US/UK education system.

2025-05-262025 English Topkids Class

Through English activities designed by our professional teachers and NET teachers, children can have fun learning English and experience how learning at a primary school is like.

In addition, our school principal, vice-principal and English subject panel will also host a "School Briefing Session" and a workshop on "How schools can lay a good foundation for children to learn English through curriculum planning". Parents are welcome to register for this event.

The event will be held in two sessions on 14th June (Saturday). Current K2 students are welcome to register and join our event! The activities and contents of talks of the two sessions are the same. Parents can register online. For details, please refer to the poster.

2025-05-19Community Youth Club Charity Walk

In order to carry forward the Community Youth Club's spirit of serving the community and showing awareness of public welfare, the CYC members of our school participated in the charity walk organized by the North District CYC on 22nd February to raise funds for the Community Chest.

Our students started walking from Choi Yuen Estate, along Shek Sheung River and Sheung Yue River, and arrived at Long Valley Wetland. We hope that our CYC members can bring this enthusiasm and positive energy back to our campus and continue to contribute to our society.

2025-05-10Project ‘TWGHs Pass It On’

To reinforce students’understanding of the vision and core values of TWGHs, the project ‘TWGHs Pass It On’was held by the Civic Education network among TWGHs primary schools.

Representatives from P.5 in the 2024-2025 academic year were invited. Namely, Kwok Tsz Yin, Lai Ching Ching, Huang Junxi, Ho Ka Hei, Lau King Yan, Tan Po Yan, Mok Tsz Tung and Zhao Andy.

The Cultural Exchange Trip to Sheung Wan was held on 11th January 2025. Eight representatives from P.5 visited Tung Wah Hospitals, Kwong Fuk Ancestral Hall and Man Mo Temple . During the trip, students learnt the history of TWGHs and the selfless sacrificial spirit of serving society.

The Cultural Exchange Trip to Kai Ping and Xin Hui was held on 10th and 11th April,2025. Eight representatives were sent to learn about the burial ministry of TWGHs in China. The group provided homecoming burial services for overseas Chinese who died abroad, in which the ashes of the deceased would be sent back to the hometown in China. Besides, representatives learnt about the stories of overseas Chinese workers who rooted again in China, as well as the history of the stronghold towers in Kai Ping, etc. 

2025-05-10Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan and Cultural Exchange Programme

24 students experienced a 4-day study tour in Japan and gained a lot! We not only visited the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai to experience the future technology and global culture, but also conducted some Chinese x Japanese cultural exchanges (Chinese paper-cutting × Japanese kendama) with local primary schools. Students from both places experienced the charm of culture through games. In addition, the experience at the Disaster Prevention Learning Center and the fun exploration at the Osaka Science Museum allowed learning to go beyond textbooks.

This study tour broadened the students’ international perspectives, cultivated their ability to recognize and adapt to changes, and allowed education to move beyond the classroom and make the world their classroom. We look forward to more explorations with our students in the future!

2025-05-02Forensic Hunter Competition

Four scientific detectives from our school showed their talents in the Hong Kong Forensic Hunter Competition, competing in six major fields from fingerprints, DNA to digital decryption. In the end, they won the 1st Place in DNA Identification and the National Security Education Award, and also won the 1st runner-up in the overall score! It is really gratifying that the students can unlock the mysteries of science and protect safety guidelines as a team!

2025-04-28P.1-3 and P.4-6 Reading for Fun classes_Reading Workshops

We held "Reading Workshops" in the Reading for Fun classes on 2/4 (P.1-3) and 9/4 (P.4-6), with the themes of "Healthy Living" and "Chinese History and Art" respectively. The students listened attentively and were very interested in the books introduced by the speakers. They also actively participated in interactive activities with the speakers and everyone had a great time!

2025-04-21TWGHs Joint Primary School Soccer Competition

The TWGHs Joint Primary School Soccer Competition was held on 15th February. The competition was divided into six categories (Boys: senior, intermediate, junior and Girls: senior, intermediate, junior), with a total of 81 teams participating. The seven teams of our school, with a total of 51 students, took part in the games.

 

After the long battles, all of our teams got excellent results. Among them, the boys’ senior A team and the girls’ intermediate team both won the Cup 1st runner-up; the girls’ senior and junior teams both won 2nd runner-up in the Cup; the boys’ intermediate and junior teams won 3rd runner-up in the Cup; the boys’ senior B team won the Shield Champion.

In addition, P.6 SU NGAI MAN won the Top Goalscorer Award and P.6 YE ZICHEN won the Best Goalkeeper Award in the boys’ senior category.

Congratulations to the football team members for their great results! Thanks to the principal for your encouragement, the PE teachers for their guidance and the parents for their strong support, especially the 40 parents who came to watch the games. Our success relied on your support.

2025-04-21Sister School Scheme-Hangzhou Study Tour

35 teachers and students participated in the Sister School Scheme-Hangzhou Study Tour from 31st March to 3rd April, 2025. On April 1st, we went to Hangzhou Normal University No.1 Affiliated Elementary School for exchange and learning activities. The students experienced lacquer fan making and did some scientific experiments with their buddies from that school. Our school’s  skipping team performed a show during recess. That afternoon, we visited the Huqingyu Museum to learn about Chinese medicine culture, and climbed up the Chenghuang Pagoda to overlook the beautiful views.

In the following two days, teachers and students visited Hefang Street and West Lake to experience the charm of Hangzhou. By visiting different venues, we learned more about the development of innovative technology in the Mainland. Through four days of learning activities that blended ancient and modern times, the students not only broadened their cultural horizons, but also improved their interpersonal communication and self-care abilities through this exchange.

2025-03-17P.2 Reading Lesson – Catwalk

The P.2 students had a Catwalk activity on 5th March. The theme was "Fairytales". The students dressed up as different fairytale characters like Pinocchio, Little Red Riding Hood, Harry Potter... Their costumes were very cute, and everyone had a great time!

2025-02-1424-25 Chinese Culture Day

Our school had our Chinese Cultural Day before the Chinese New Year. Our students not only watched and learned about the Kirin Dance, but also played the series of booth games (such as shuttlecock, Tai Chi, chimes, print-making red packets, etc.) designed and run by our teachers and parents.  They also made Chinese handicrafts in the classrooms and wore Chinese clothes, enjoying the warm atmosphere of the Chinese New Year together. Our students experienced and learned more about the traditional Chinese culture through all these different activities.

2025-02-14Hong Kong Schools Drone Challenge 2025

Five members of our school's drone team participated in the "Hong Kong Schools Drone Challenge 2025" held in Cyberport on 15th December. The day was divided into two parts: Remote-Controlled Obstacle Shootout and Navigation Coding Contest. It was very challenging and the tasks tested our students’ skills, wisdom, cooperation and adaptability. Our students obtained a Level 1 certification and a Level 2 certification in the two key events respectively.

2025-02-14TWGHs Joint Primary Schools Sports Day

A total of 58 students from the athletics team participated in the TWGHs Joint Primary Schools Sports Day on 24th October. All of our athletes gave their best in the competitions.

In the individual events, they won a total of 5 champions, 5 1st runner-ups, 3 2nd runner-ups and 7 3rd runner-ups. In the relay events, they won 1 champion, 1 1st runner-up and 1 2nd runner-up, including many record-breaking results. The Boys’ C Team won the overall championship.

The athletes performed outstandingly. We thank the students, the principal and all the teachers for their encouragement, the PE teachers and coaches for their long-time guidance and the staff members for their assistance. We also appreciate and thank the parents for their care and support.

2025-02-14North District Area Inter-Primary School Athletics Competition

Our school's athletics team participated in the North District Area Inter-Primary School Athletics Competition hosted by The Schools Sports Federation of Hong Kong, China on 18th November. A total of 48 student representatives participated in this competition. All athletes gave their best in the competition, and they devoted themselves to the competition, and worked hard for their goals. In the end, a total of 6 team awards were won, and also a total of 3 champions, 7 1st runner-ups, 7 2nd runner-ups and 2 4th place were won in the individual and relay competitions. We hope the athletics team will achieve great results again in the next competition!

The 1st term Prize Presentation Ceremony was a success. At the ceremony, Principal Lam encouraged the students to "enjoy learning and pursue progress".

2025-01-2424-25 Maths Day

Our annual Maths Day was held on 23rd January, 2025. The activities included booth games for estimations, and some mathematical activities and games.

The students participated eagerly and had a lot of fun! Everyone tried to get the right answers by doing intent observations, using measurement tools and thinking carefully. They enjoyed the fun of math challenges!

Eleven Sunny Ambassadors organized and held some booth activities during recess and lunch recess. Primary 5 and 6 students were invited to play the booth games, and they learned more about caring for others through the fun activities.

2025-01-13Essay Writing Competition with the theme of the National Day

In celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and deepen students’identification with and feelings towards our motherland, our school held the Essay Writing Competition with the theme of the National Day. We were delighted to see our students participate in the competition so enthusiastically! Here are our top three winners and three honorable mentions for each grade.

2025-01-10Mainland Exchange Programme for Upper Primary Students - Chinese Style Buildings, their History and Culture in Guangzhou

Our P.5 students took part in the Mainland Exchange Programme for Upper Primary Students on 18th – 19th December, 2024. The theme of the tour was Chinese Style Buildings, their History and Culture in Guangzhou. The two-day trip was a core part of our I+ Curriculum - "Understanding Ancient Chinese Architecture".

The students visited the Chinese-style buildings in Guangzhou, learning about their historical and cultural background and the cultural relics conservation work in Guangzhou. During the trip, they got to know the beauty of traditional Chinese architecture, and learned to take care of one another. What a precious learning opportunity!

2025-01-09InnoCarnival 2024

To enhance students' interest in and knowledge about innovation and technology (I&T) and understand the importance of I&T in improving people's lives, our school organized a visit to the "Inno Carnival 2024" held by the Innovation and Technology Commission. The theme of this year is "Let's Sail with Innovation and Technology". About thirty of our P.4 and P.5 students participated in the various featured events and activities. They gained valuable first-person experience in understanding the developments and achievements of I&T of Hong Kong.

Tung Wah Group of Hospitals hosted the 2025 Hong Kong Children's English Singing Competition - District Selection. The competition was a success. The 18 participating kindergartens from North District and Tai Po District performed wonderfully. Let’s take a look at the highlights!

Congratulations to our girls’ football team for winning the championship in the North District Inter-Primary Schools Football Competition organized by The Schools Sports Federation of Hong Kong, China, for four consecutive years. Our boys’ football team won the Merit Award. We appreciate the great effort and teamwork of the team members. We hope that everyone will continue to work hard and achieve great results.

2025-01-06P.6 Education Camp

During the 3-day P.6 Education Camp, the P.6 students did a lot of activities such as visiting Cheung Po Tsai Cave, exploring Cheung Chau, and having nightly game times, etc. They learned to be self-disciplined and care for one another, while having the chance to visit the scenic spots of Cheung Chau.

Both the teachers and students had a blast. We would like to thank our teachers and the mentors of the Jockey Club Ming Fai Camp for their help.
