Extracurricular activities are an important part of holistic education. Our school has always placed great importance on our students’ balanced learning opportunities in the five aspects of development, i.e. moral, intellectual, physical, social and aesthetic. Therefore, different types of extracurricular activities have been arranged to develop their multiple intelligences and learn about life as a team, thereby building a healthy and active lifestyle.
There are various different types of activities for our students to join at school.
For academic development, we have English elite teams taught by NET teachers, Cambridge English courses, Mathematical Olympiad classes, mechanical engineering elite training classes, etc.; For artistic study: we have magic classes taught in English, drama classes, light clay classes, etc.; Music and sports: we have rhythm band, orchestra, Chinese music classes, English karate classes, rope skipping classes, swimming classes, track and field teams, football teams, etc. Each year, more than 1,000 students participate in our after-school training courses, and the participation rate is as high as 93%.
Our school often organizes intra-school activities, competitions and overseas exchanges for our students to participate in and to broaden their horizons. We encourage and train our students to participate in various types of off-campus activities and competitions, so that they can realize their potential and show their abilities to the fullest. Up to 1,600 pupils win off-campus awards each year.
