In mid-October, fourteen P.5 students participated in the joint school Maker Faire Tokyo exchange programme. There were over one hundred stalls in the Maker Faire. In addition to experiencing a variety of children STEAM learning tools, creative handicrafts and electronic mechanical inventions from many countries around the world, students also had the opportunity to introduce our school-designed works to tourists there. What’s more, we also visited the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation, the Tokyo Water Science Museum, and the Tokyo Trick Art Museum to understand how various technologies and scientific principles can improve people’s living standards. After returning to MKC, the students shared this rare learning experience with teachers and students on campus, hoping that more students could participate in this event in the future.
